Weight Loss

Weight loss success is a holistic journey that can be challenging and often requires more than just calorie counting or following the latest diet trend. Various factors like sleep quality, stress management, regular exercise, and hydration play a very important role. Additionally, health challenges like hormonal imbalances, thyroid disorders, insulin resistance, inflammation, toxins, food allergies, depression, specific medications, and even genetic factors can further complicate weight loss efforts.

FAQ

Semaglutide belongs to a class of medications known as glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists, or GLP-1 RAs. It mimics the GLP-1 hormone, released in the gut in response to eating.

GLP-1s help balance your blood sugar levels and reduce appetite. Semaglutide activates GLP-1 receptors in the brain that control hunger and fullness.

The result? You feel full faster, stay satisfied longer after eating, and naturally eat less without feeling deprived.

Adults with a BMI of 30 or more (obesity category).

Adults with a BMI of 27-29 (overweight category), who also have at least one weight-related comorbid condition such as high blood pressure, diabetes type 2, or high cholesterol.

Semaglutide is injected weekly at any time of day but on the same day each week, with or without meals.

Semaglutide should be injected subcutaneously into abdomen, upper arms or thighs.

Semaglutide is contraindicated if there is a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MENS2) or in the case of hypersensitivity to Semaglutide.
