Messaging
SMS Messaging Terms
Helm Health & Wellness ("HELM," "we," "us," or "our") offers SMS (text message) notifications to patients about their care and appointments. This page explains what we send, how you give consent to receive texts, and how to stop them at any time.
Consent is your choice. Agreeing to receive text messages is not a condition of becoming or remaining a patient, and is not a condition of any purchase. You can opt out at any time and continue to receive care.
What we send
Our text messages are account and care related. They include:
- Appointment reminders before a scheduled visit.
- Booking confirmations when a visit is scheduled, including the secure link to join.
- Secure message notifications letting you know a message from your care team is waiting in your patient portal.
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, and we never include sensitive health details in a text. Messages link you to our secure, authenticated patient portal where any protected information lives.
How you opt in
When you apply to become a patient at helmhealthandwellness.com (or on the patient application page), the form includes an optional text-message consent checkbox next to where you enter your mobile number. The box is unchecked by default; you opt in only by checking it yourself. After you become a patient, you can turn text messages on or off anytime in your patient portal under Settings → Notifications. The consent shown next to the checkbox reads:
"I agree to receive text messages (appointment reminders, confirmations, and care notifications) from HELM Health & Wellness at the number I provide. Consent is not a condition of care. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy."
Message frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on your appointments and account activity. You will only receive messages tied to your own care and scheduling.
Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. HELM does not charge you for text messages.
How to opt out or get help
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. After you reply STOP, we will send one confirmation and will not send further texts unless you opt in again. Reply HELP for help, or email us at info@helmhealthandwellness.com. You can also turn texts off in your patient portal Notification Settings at any time.
Your privacy
We do not sell your personal information. Your mobile number and your consent to receive text messages are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Our handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy, and the protected health information created in the course of your care is governed by the Notice of Privacy Practices we provide at intake.
Carrier notice
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
